Salary - £12,600 Plus £1,800 Car Allowance

We are looking for a Carer Engagement Officer to help grow our family of foster carers. Following a period of induction the role will be home based but travel to the Child Care Bureau Head Office in Hallow, Worcestershire, will also be required.

The focus of the role is to generate new enquiries from members of the public interested in becoming foster carers. You will act as an ambassador, helping to promote fostering at small, local events you have planned and organised and through the use of social media.

You will maintain contact with potential foster carers through the journey from enquiry to approval, supporting the screening, training and assessment process undertaken by your social work colleagues. You will work from home, managing the database of potential carers, and keeping colleagues and management updated with relevant information and weekly reports. Previous customer service, recruitment or marketing experience could help you succeed in the role, however it is essential you can build rapport with members of the public and potential foster carers providing them with insight into the fostering task. You must be proficient in excel spreadsheets and database management, social media and diary management, as well as demonstrating excellent spoken and written communication. Generating referrals from our existing carers will be a large part of the role.
